Debate Times International respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. It is our policy to respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe that any content on our website infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice to have the material removed.
1. Filing a DMCA Notice
If you are a copyright owner or an agent acting on behalf of one, and you believe that content hosted on DebateTimesInternational.com infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a written notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
- Contact information sufficient to allow us to contact you, such as an address, telephone number, and an email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.
2. Submit Your DMCA Notice
You can submit your DMCA notice to the following designated agent:

Upon receiving your notice, we will take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the allegedly infringing content.
3. Counter-Notification
If you believe that the material removed or disabled as a result of a DMCA notice was taken down in error, you may submit a counter-notification pursuant to sections 512(g)(2) and (3) of the DMCA. A valid counter-notification must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which Debate Times International may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
You may submit your counter-notification to the same DMCA Agent listed above.
4. Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, Debate Times International will terminate, in appropriate circumstances, users or account holders who are repeat infringers.
5. Disclaimer
Please note that submitting a false claim or misrepresentation in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may result in liability for damages under section 512(f) of the DMCA. It is advisable to seek legal counsel before filing any notification or counter-notification.
