Over the past few years, we have been honored to commission and publish human rights stories across the UK.
This has led us to commission stories about a range of human rights issues, including hair discrimination, child poverty, unlawful convictions and rape trials.
We are pleased to announce that the Inspiration Series will now be open until July 30. Please note that we can only entrust small amounts of pitching and commissions on a rolling basis. Each one is a small charity, and each post offers £125.
What we’re looking for:
We are looking for people with life experience with stories/issues related to human rights to write stories about them with British lenses.
We launched the inspired source sequence in 2020 as a pilot program. This is part of our voices that have expanded undernumbered and marginalized by society in the media.
This marginalization may be due to a variety of factors, including but not limited to an individual’s gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, geographical or disability. The series has become an integral part of each other’s work.
We are particularly interested in receiving promotions from people with life experience in the following fields, but please Do If your tone does not fall into these categories, please apply:
- Rightmost
- be opposed to
- Disability and Access Services
- housing
- discriminate
- educate
Please take a look at the previous example To make sure your ideas are not covered before.
We encourage sales of those who have experience with human rights/story related issues/stories, as well as individuals who have never published before.
Pitching Guidelines:
The Inspired Source Series is open to individuals only. If you are part of a group or sports, make sure only one or two people apply to write or record a story. We open a joint stadium with two writers. If you apply for a duo, include two names in your tone.
Keeping the tone at less than 300 words – two to three paragraphs – should make us complete:
- What are the human rights issues you are going to write about?
- What is your idea to solve it?
- What evidence will you draw from in your work?
- Why are you writing about this question?
In the subject line of the email, include: “Tone: Inspiration”. Please send your thoughts to info@eachother.org.uk, Topic: Source sequence tone of inspiration.
We are a small team, so please allow for two weeks before following up. Unfortunately, we do have a budget limit for this series and only entrust a few applicants.
