Responding to reports invited by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and planning to host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Erika Guevara-Rosas Global Studies in Hungary on Wednesday, Amnesty International Head of Advocacy and Policy said:
“Prime Minister Netanyahu is a suspected war criminal who is accused of using hunger as a method of war, intentional attack on civilians and endangering crimes against humans, persecution and other inhumane acts. As a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC), if he arrests him, he will have to arrest him and he has to turn him out. Israel commits further crimes against Palestinians in the occupied Palestinian territory.
“The reported visit by Netanyahu should be seen as a cynical effort to undermine the International Criminal Court and its work and an insult to the victims of these crimes. The victims of these crimes are seeking justice from the court. The invitation from Hungary shows that the invitation to international law shows that war criminals requested by the ICC are welcome on the streets of members of the European Union.
“Netanyahu’s visit to Hungary must not be the future leader of European human rights. European and global leaders must end their shameful silence and inaction and call on Hungary to arrest Netanyahu on a visit, which will mock the Palestinians’ suffering on Israel’s island in Gageza, which is in line with other areas of Scotland, and other crises in occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, which are the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, and the occupation of Palestinians, which are controlled by its rights.
“Amnesty International calls on the ICC prosecutor to investigate and prosecute all Israeli crimes. Hungary should also adopt the principle of universal jurisdiction. A strong leader like Netanyahu, who is committed by the International Criminal Court, is committed by the International Criminal Court (ICC) with war crimes and crimes against humanity, no longer enjoys permanent unwelcome prospects.”
“The ICC was established to ensure responsibility for victims of genocide and other crimes in international law, so that crimes that shocked human conscience would “never again” be accompanied by a sense of responsibility of impunity. In “Bringing Power to Justice,” the ICC is now facing a global fightback from powerful leaders who seek to achieve an international scope in an international law and a vast prospect of responsibility.
